About our service

We are a small, nurse led team supporting children and young people up to the age of 19 across the county of Worcestershire. We work with children and young people experiencing delayed toilet training, and other symptoms which may be associated with this, such as daytime wetting nighttime wetting and chronic constipation and/or faecal soiling.

What we do

Once a referral is accepted to our service, the child/young person will go on our waiting list to have a Level 2 Paediatric Bladder and Bowel assessment carried out by one of our specialist nurses. This assessment may be carried out over the phone, in a school clinic or in the patient’s home and takes approximately 30-45 minutes. The nurse will ask lots of questions about the child/young persons bladder and bowel health. We will provide evidence-based advice and will organise a reassessment/follow up appointment as appropriate.

Make a referral

We accept referrals from GPs, School Nurses, Health visitors, Specialist Nursery Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Paediatric Consultants, but there are other professionals within the school or medical setting that may also refer into us. We can only offer assessment and support to children registered to a Worcestershire GP.
