NHS apprentices shine at prestigious local awards
Apprentices from Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust have been recognised for their hard work and dedication at the 2024 Herefordshire and Worcestershire Group Training Association (HWGTA) Annual Awards.
The Trust proudly supported five finalists in four categories, with one apprentice achieving a category win.
The awards ceremony, held last month, celebrated the achievements of apprentices from across the two counties, highlighting their exceptional contributions to their fields.
Representing the Trust, Tori Barrett took home the Management Apprenticeship Endeavour Award , a fantastic recognition of her hard work and perseverance. Finalists included Jenny Bishop Owen , who was shortlisted for the Management Apprenticeship Apprentice of the Year , and Natalie Heath , who was recognised for her commitment for the Management Apprenticeship Endeavour Award . Similarly, Danielle Lothian and Zofia Suchecka made the Trust proud as finalists in the Commerce Apprentice of the Year and Commerce Apprenticeship Endeavour Award categories, respectively.
The Trust’s apprenticeship programmes are designed to provide people with hands-on experience, professional development, and an opportunity to make a real difference in healthcare.
With apprenticeships ranging from business administration to coaching, leadership, and management, there are many different pathways for those looking to join the NHS and develop their careers.

The Trust has a proven track record of excellence in apprenticeship programmes, previously being named Large Apprenticeship Employer of the Year in 2022 and HWGTA’s Employer of the Year in 2021.
