Local NHS team scoops award nomination for supporting older generations

Worcester and Droitwich Older Adult Community Mental Health team

Worcester and Droitwich Older Adult Community Mental Health team has been nominated for 'NHS Team of the Year' as part of Worcestershire Health and Social Care Awards.

Recognised for their hard work, the team is one of five in the Older Adult Community Mental Health service who work across Worcestershire to provide assessments, care planning, interventions, and treatment for older adults with complex and/or enduring mental health needs. Provided by Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, they promote recovery and independence for patients and also offer education and support for carers.

Expressing her gratitude, Victoria Palmer, the team manager, said: “On behalf of the whole team, we are immensely grateful for our nomination. The team is extremely proud of the service we provide, and it's great to be recognised for the work we do with the older generations within our community.

The awards celebrate health and social care workers in Worcestershire whose work truly makes a difference to those that they care for. More information about Worcestershire Health and Social Care Awards can be found via the Awards website.

Winners will be announced at a black-tie event on Thursday 19th September.
