Find out more about the Herefordshire & Worcestershire STP at Evesham event

The Herefordshire and Worcestershire Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP) will be the topic for discussion at an event in Evesham in October.

The local STP is a long term plan to continue providing safe, effective and sustainable health and care services. It covers all aspects of health and care, including mental health, elective care and urgent and emergency services and is one of 44 STPs being developed across the country.

On October 25th those involved in developing the local STP will host an event in Evesham enabling local people to find out more, to ask questions and better understand the role they can play in shaping specific elements of the plan moving forward. It is being chaired by Michael Worrall, Chair of the cross-party panel who have helped organise the meeting and starts at 6.30 pm at the conference room at Evesham Community Hospital.

It will also be an opportunity to understand any local implications for the Evesham area, and local clinicians will be available to update on the plans for the hospital and the strategy to provide as many services as possible in the community.

Sarah Dugan, who leads the Herefordshire & Worcestershire STP, said: "Since the draft plan was launched we have been out and spoken to lots of groups and stakeholders to get views and thoughts on the plan in its broadest sense. This is another opportunity for people in Evesham to come and ask questions and find out more and we are looking forward to a helpful and constructive event."

Places must be booked in advance and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis due to capacity of the room and must be confirmed by email to Rachel.Godby@nhs.net by Wednesday 18th October. Refreshments will be provided and visitors are welcome to use the pay and display car park at Evesham Community Hospital, although this too will be on a first come, first serve basis and normal charges will apply.

Since publishing our draft plan at the end of November we have been out talking to our communities across both county's about its high level themes and principles.

This isn't formal consultation, instead a very early conversation about how health and care services work now, and how they might look in the future.

We don't have any more engagement events planned at this stage, but we will advertise future opportunities on this page shortly. This will build on the engagement we had done to date.

If you have any general comments please email: whcnhs.yourconversationhw@nhs.uk
