Employment and Reablement Services

The aim of the service is to help clients in their recovery from severe mental ill health, through engagement in meaningful roles and activities. This can be through progression towards employment and education , or through more informal recreational and social activities 

Specific services:

a) Individual Placement and Support to employment

b) New Opportunities Worcestershire. Offers activities for those needing  more supported   settings before progression to mainstream community activities 

c) Job Retention. For those in work , but struggling to maintain their jobs through reasons of mental ill health 

d) Reablement Service. The service meets the needs of service users interested in progressing to community based roles and activities (other than those going direct to employment)


Client group

Adults in receipt of secondary mental health services.


How the service is accessed

By referral from care-coordinator/main mental health professional. Initial contact by phone.
