Volunteers can make a difference

Ultimately everything that happens in the NHS should be for the benefit of our patients, and our volunteers play an important role in this. Whether the volunteering role directly involves patients or not, volunteers all play a part in improving the quality of care that patients receive.

Volunteers who have patient contact help provide extra support just as friends or family members might do.   Volunteers are not always directly involved in patient care.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life, and represent the diversity of the communities that we serve. All are dedicated to making hospitals and services a little friendlier and more comfortable for everyone.
