New arrival for mums-to-be at Evesham Hospital

A new state of the art Ultrasound Scanner has been unveiled at Evesham Community Hospital.

Costing £66k, the scanner has been funded by the hospital’s League of Friends, replacing the previous one which the group also funded.

The new addition will provide improved scans and visual images for mums-to-be, but also has the ability to provide scans for patients with a wider range of health conditionstoo, including for physio patients who have muscular injuries.

The new equipment will initially serve around 15 patients a day who have appointments in the hospital.

Local NHS trust recognised as a Centrica Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer

Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust have been recognised in the prestigious Centrica Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer list, which is compiled annually by the National Apprenticeship Service.

The Top 100 list recognises excellence in businesses that employ apprentices, with employers honoured ranging from some of England’s largest companies to some of the smallest.

Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, the County’s main provider of mental health and community services currently employs 70 apprentices, across a variety of roles including Healthcare, Administration and Finance.

A day of positivity in Worcestershire.

A local NHS Trust turned parts of the county yellow on Blue Monday to share happiness and positivity.

Teams across Worcestershire Health and Care NHS trust which is the main provider of community nursing, therapy and mental health services in the county, held a variety of colourful activities to share positivity and happiness on the most depressing day of the year.

The trust encouraged its staff to get involved in events across the county, with some baking yellow cakes for their patients and running activities based on improving mental wellbeing
